the school. They provide strategic leadership, hold the school to account for its educational performance, and ensure public money is well spent. Working in partnership with the Headteacher and staff, the governors support the school to deliver the very best opportunities for our pupils, while also representing the views and interests of families and the local community. Their oversight and commitment will help to ensure Hawthorn Academy grows as a safe, inclusive and inspiring place to learn.

Lisa Goodenough (Chair)
Gaurav Gupta brings extensive experience in digital transformation and technology solutions, with skills in strategic planning, mentoring and coaching. He is committed to supporting innovation, inclusivity and positive outcomes for pupils at Hawthorn Academy.
Anne Fitzsimons is a teacher and Head of Maths with extensive experience across different countries and education systems. She brings expertise in data analysis, staff development and strategic planning, with a strong commitment to inclusion and high standards in education.
Imogen Lawlor is a higher education professional with broad experience across admissions, SEND, safeguarding and student support. She brings expertise in charity governance, fundraising and leadership, with a strong commitment to social mobility and inclusive education.
Hajar Aslam is an Associate Assistant Headteacher with leadership experience in curriculum, assessment, behaviour and data. She has played a key role in school improvement and brings valuable insight into school leadership, with a strong focus on raising standards and accountability.
